Glowing skin has always been a thing, but now it's the latest thing. And, it should be; who doesn't want glowing skin? While many think this goal is hard to achieve, when your skincare routine is consistent, and your skincare products are legit, it happens effortlessly!
Your skincare routine should at the "basic level" look like this:
With this basic level skincare routine, you want to incorporate exfoliation at least twice a week. Some can go longer, and some cannot. Be patient and listen to your skin. If you feel you need to change it, feel free.
Exfoliation is key. When you exfoliate, you are getting rid of dead skin, evening out your skin tone, and improving your skin's texture. These are essential for securing the glow!
Dead skin will prevent your skin from retaining moisture. So that moisturizer you recently for "glowing skin" won't work. So even after you cleanse and moisturize, your skin will still look dry and dull. If your skin texture is uneven, it's more than likely due to acne's problematic cases, or once again, dead skin. So exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!
Getting that Glow ft. The Glow Kit
- Cleanse your face - When you cleanse, do so for a minimum of 60 seconds. Devote 15 seconds to each area of your face and neck. Regardless of what cleanser you use, this is the foundation of your routine, be sure your cleanser has properties that remove excess dirt and oil.
- Apply toner - We recommend a rosewater toner; it hydrates intensely, and to achieve glowing skin, your skin needs to be hydrated!
- Exfoliation - Do not, I repeat, DO NOT skip this step! If you have sensitive skin, seek out a product with light beading in it. To take it a step further and find natural exfoliants like Jojoba beads.
- Moisturize - This step is so important. You want a moisturizer that hydrates your skin so well that you can feel it hydrating in the lines, cracks, and crevices of your face! *Bonus points if you apply to a damp face.
And voilà, you're glowing, girl!
